This workshop will provide participants an opportunity to begin building a playlist that will help customize learning experiences, environments, and supports that individualized learners need.  Participants will discuss definitions of mastery, levels of mastery, and learner advancement based on demonstrations of mastery vs mastery based on time.  The presenter will share informal and formal maintenance of media albums & portfolios that document student growth and the learning process that leads toward mastery.  Key points discussed in the playlist process include emphasis on continuous communication and feedback from the student to the teacher;  multiple opportunities for assessment, revision, and reflection; and transparent goal setting that empowers learners for college and career readiness.
